Welcome to
the El Dorado County
Career Technical Partnership
Web Site!

The El Dorado County Career Technical Education Partnership offers businesses the unique opportunity to directly impact the education of the furture workforce in our community. The initial focus is on the Agriculture/Natrual Resources and Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation industry sectors. These sectors were chosen because they are major economic factors in our community. Local business owners and public agencies host an El Dorado County teacher in their workplace for 5 days. Teachers use the experiences they have at their temporary workplace to create lessons or modules that can be incorporated into existing subject areas. These lessons or modules are available below.

Workshops

The Green Curricula, Green Schools, Green Communities workshop explored how K-12 faculty could meaningfully integrate the environment and sustainability into their classrooms and across disciplines.

We are please to announce that Diane Dunnigan from Marina Village Middle School was chosen to present at the Green California Schools Summit October 17, 2011, Pasadena, CA.
Materials for the presentation are located here.

Our mission is to strengthen and improve career technical education (CTE) by expanding awareness about the CTE program through relevant education and training towards potential career opportunities, by gaining cooperative support of the local business community and public, and by providing a strong articulation program among middle schools, high schools, and the local community college.

This site also serves as a resource for lesson
plans which help integrate practical skills
into the existing curriculum.
